A completed application should include a deposit of $100.00, which is non-refundable. 

  • If you are applying as a member of the chorus, a letter explaining your experience suffices. Members of choruses-in residence need not submit letters of recommendation or audition materials.
  • If you are applying as a new orchestra member, please provide: a letter of recommendation from your conductor or your present/most recent teacher. A cassette tape or CD may be requested.
  •  Former enrollees do not need to send a letter of recommendation.

All performers are chosen in advance on the basis of letters of recommendation, live auditions or cassette or CD recorded auditions.  All performers must be accepted for placement prior to their arrival in Europe.

Upon acceptance by the Festival you will receive a letter confirming your acceptance along with a statement showing your balance due. The first payment is due by February 1, 2009; the second payment is due by April 1, 2009 and the remaining balance is due by June 1, 2009.  All payments are non-refundable after June 1, 2009, except in case of a certifiable emergency explained in writing. Deposit may be made by check or money order. If your application is not accepted, your deposit will be voided and returned. You will be informed within two weeks of receipt of your application whether or not you have been accepted.

Note: The Festival is in residence in the small city of Eisenstadt, Austria. All rehearsals are in a walking distance of 3-6 long blocks, approximately 15 minutes from hotels. Participants should be prepared for regular walking to and from rehearsals.  The Esterhazy Palace and Bergkirche involve two flights of stairs.
I have read the Festival information in the brochure or on the website, all inserts and appended materials and agree to comply with all regulations set forth therein. If I have any questions concerning subsequent information, I shall communicate those questions in writing as soon as possible. Included with this application is my deposit by  check or money order for US $100, which is a non-refundable administrative fee. All fees are due by June 1, 2009 and become non-refundable after that date except in cases of certifiable emergency explained in writing.
A deposit of $100 by check or money order made payable to Classical Music Festival must accompany this form. Applicants should expect to hear from us regarding their acceptance into the program within two weeks from the date we receive complete application materials and deposit. If your application is rejected by us, we will return your entire deposit. Thank you.
